Hi all! Thanks for stopping by. I recently went on a trip to Mykonos with some girlfriends from university and packed some of my newly sewn pieces, including this super easy maxi wrap skirt. I knew before the trip that I would want something like this- it is so much easier than clothes with zippers/buttons and has the perfect elegant vibe that you want for the nice beach clubs. It was absolutely a dream to wear and I’m already planning ways to dress it up for dinners, etc.
I found the instructions on how to make the skirt on the blog Cotton & Curls. Liz really talks you through each step and I’m planning to make some of her other DIYs as well (plus hopefully some of my own!). The fabric I used was a soft petal-print viscose challis I ordered from Minerva Crafts, one of my favorite online UK fabric stores. All in all, I think it took me about 2.5 hours to make this skirt. Let me know if you make one!
